ABDOMEN
Main components of male terminalia in Neriidae: Abdomen elongate, with 7 pairs of spiracles in both sexes. Males with with sternite 6 broad. Tergite 7 and sternite 7 reduced, partly fused, positioned on left side of abdomen. Syntergosternite 8 well developed, rounded. Ejaculatory apodeme present, positioned inside syntergosternite 8. Epandrium cylindrical elongate, with distal margin straight and lateral margins parallel; with dorsally sparse setulae; variable texture and length. Well-developed surstylus and cercus, articulated to epandrium with variable shape and length, as well as setae placement and density.
